Capitals came to Braehead last night (Monday) and ended Pirates hopes of reaching the SPHL Play-Offs by winning 7-2

Pirates' chief Allan Paul said, 'It is so disappointing for Bobby and the players to have put so much into the season only to come away with nothing. Capitals' Elite league experience showed tonight but our guys gave 100% effort. When we got it back to 2-2 I thought we could go on and win it. It was a blow to lose Colin Downie with a broken ankle but take nothing away from young Scott Blackwell who I thought had a great game. We will now pick ourselves up for the visit of Dundee Stars tonight and will look to finish off our season with a win. Let's make tonight a celebration.
